Defense contractors have such a hold on American military policy that an element of war profiteering is laced into the way we function. We need a movement for peace that is equivalent to the environmental movement. The Right is okay with what is & the Left has basically given up.

We have such a war economy that $.53 of every $ spent is defense related. But money spent on education & infrastructure is actually a more lucrative investment & defense jobs could be re-purposed for peace-related activities. We need to move from a war economy to a peace economy

Why do we have a $760B defense budget while some of our schools don’t even have school supplies & people lack healthcare? In part because we spend hundreds of billions of dollars every year above & beyond what the Pentagon even says it needs. This has nothing to do with security!

He's on the BOD and compared to other large compaines in perspective not seeng that $800k to $1.7 M is a crisis.

That’s not the crisis at all. That amount of money is standard enough; it’s not about his money personally. The crisis is how it has now become the norm for people who are executives or board members at defense contractors to then head the Pentagon. Nor should it be a general.

So, it’s a problem he’s making money because he’s black? But all white bastards on this position previously who have made 10 times more money ate OK for you? We know the kind of racist you are!!!
1
It’s not a problem that he’s making money! The money he’s making is not the issue; the money Raytheon, Boeing, and Northrop Grumman make is the issue. It’s a problem that a Raytheon board member will head the Pentagon, as has been the case with the last few of them.

You ran against Creepy Uncle Joe. You did everything you could, except leave the party. Is it time you did that, yet?
