We need a national discussion on this topic. A lot more people would support student debt forgiveness if someone explained how this could be done in a way that is fair to those who made sacrifices and paid off their debt.

What I think you're saying is ... people owe between ... fifty and three hundred thousand dollars in student debt ... so ten thousand dollars is just a drop in the bucket ... It's just like a $600 check for six months worth of food, rent, mortgage payments and childcare ...

People needed a visionary leader ready to take bold action but we got him instead. The country will get worse under him. Only elites will feel good about this nation under him. The unrest will continue, there’ll be no healing under his administration , only more violence.

Marianne, please just let the man be inaugurated without the distraction of a riot first. Thank you.

Cool, one semester's worth out of eight! Now, my great-grandkids will be able to pay off our student loans instead of my great-great grandkids!

My aunt was in a group of childcare providers. Most refused to accept vouchers, because the rate was below their price. Most struggled to fill seats eventually folded. Not my Aunt's Daycare. She would tell them, half of something is better than all of nothing. Avg SL debt $33K.

Mer that’s a lot of money. Most People have 40k in loans. Taking out 25% tax free would be huge. Not incremental. Especially considering a year ago people in the center were talking about $0.

Where is all this legislation they are promising? They're going to make one big bill with 89% garbage and say that's the best they can do. Can they really fail this badly before Biden is inaugurated?
