I’m astounded that with armed protests planned for all 50 state Capitol’s and then days later at the US Capitol, Republicans are so unable or unwilling to exert pressure on Trump to tell his supporters to stand down. It is mind boggling.

This group is not his supporters. Most don’t care about him. You think the man is way more powerful than he is. Maybe you should focus on the antifa threat a little.

Don't you mean your supporters?
It may be mind-boggling but it’s also part of their strategic plan. You don’t really think this is over do you? Did you read Fiona Hill op Ed today in politico? Please do We’ve only seen the first round

The Republicans are at a crossroads. Do they want this country to be a Democracy or a trump Dictatorship?

This is the period that every future 5th grader reads about in history class and is baffled by. The sedition was proclaimed, violence accomplished, the US Capitol fell to insurrectionists...& Congress burned a week announcing future possible intentions to act.

Armed, no way this should be allowed.. If armed they should be removed.

I'm afraid it's as simple as this, Marianne: They are colluding with Trump, Bannon, Miller, and others in an ongoing Right-wing coup attempt that may be a "long game" strategy, with 1/6 just the first salvo. We must insist on consequential response! 🙏

Or worse yet, trying to "forget" about Insurrection Wednesday while telling us to "unify".

Did u say the same when Kamala Harris was championing the BLM protest/riots on NATIONAL TELEVISION even as she knew what collateral damage it was leaving behind? Thought so.
