Most countries were founded on slavery and genocide. This country is relatively young, so that history is still very much alive in people’s generational memory or collective unconscious or whatever you want to call it. It feels raw and fresh... and f*^king painful 😖

A bit like religion?

In a way it is true. After Austrian born Hitler wrote Mein Kampf they should have known that Hitler intended to kill the Jews. He did, however, project a financial and Germany First platform to gin up nationalism. They were left in ruins, we are working to avoid that step.

great point. if America really wants to heal it should look on its own history and stop the basic genocide of indigenous people. that would be a great starting point.
