There’s no “unity” in refusing to hold people accountable for egregious behavior; there’s no “healing” where there is no serious truth-telling; and there’s no going forward in life without being willing to clean up the past

Unity? I don't want to unify with fascistic authoritarians. I don't want those people anywhere in government, on TV, in my neighborhood, or online. They are the wedge that divides us, we aren't driving it deeper by removing it.

History has taught that poverty and inequality are a breeding ground for populism, nationalism, racism, fascism and revolution Humanity received another warning at the The United States Capitol on January 6, 2021

Focusing on accountability is fine but the issues that made people desperate enough to fall for a conman's words are still going strong. If we focus on raising people standard of living and show we care for people rather than corporations.. a lot of these tensions would ease.
