Churchill said you could always count on Americans to do the right thing..."after they have exhausted every other option." We're known for being slow to wake up to things but once we do, we slam it like nobody's business. I think we just woke up, and I think we're gonna slam it.

I woke up in 2009, then watched, in horror the next two Obama/Biden presidencies, “...going to look forwards, not backwards...” excuse for not prosecuting Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rove for war crimes while expanding wars to 7 nations, displacing 30+ million people and drone bombing.

American government isn't even close to a democracy. Our government fights against what the people want. Elected officials are scamming Americans. They allow corporations to kill millions of Americans. The negligence is over the top. Americans need to take their power back

I am not there yet Marianne. The American 'greed thing' is hard to overcome. Neoliberalism isn't just about economics but also about how we relate to each other. Neoliberalism is in the capillaries of society and it's the root cause for the sick state we, and the world are in.

Uuhmm, Churchill was not exactly opposed to Britain’s colonization efforts and Americans seemed to carry this colonization thing on n this is not exactly“the right thing”. America does not always do the right thing. Just ask the the countries where we instigated coups.

You have an administration that will do everything in their power to ensure that the American people don't get guaranteed healthcare in the form of Medicare for All. The only thing that will "slam" is the lids on the coffins of the 70k Americans that will die this year w/out it.
