One of Hitler’s most chilling comments towards the end of the war: “The only way they could’ve stopped us is if they had come after us early, swift and hard.” (We already missed the early and swift part.)

Censorship is a tool of authoritarianism And, who is to be the all powerful arbiter of truth? Oligarchs? Does the power change with each passing administration? Could the sitting President, Trump become the arbiter of truth? eff.org/deeplinks/2018/01/pr…

It’s important to win the war. The ideal of the America I envision will never be defeated by hate, division and tyranny. This is why it’s important to choose the right battles, stand united against bigger enemies, than to go along with some of you who divide @TheDemocrats within.

I get annoyed with the Nazi comparisons, it devalues what happened during WW2, not the same. Also, America despite pleas and evidence of concentration camps did not enter the war till Pearl Harbor. Most countries were already mobilized after the invasion of Poland in 1939.

Yes, we have to come after them hard. This bullshit can't happen again.

The thing is, though, the folks most likely to come after an enemy "early, swift and hard" are...other fascists. It's easy to become the monster you seek to destroy.
