It’s a complicated question, I agree. But I know enough history to know how some of the most dangerous situations have occurred, including genocide. Hate speech is dangerous. Words have power. So I hear what you’re saying. There is a risk, but to me the greater risk is the other.

Hate speech is not dangerous. Who decides what hate speech is? When you drive hate speech underground, it creates extremists. Banning people for speech is not the right move, it never is.
