Because D.C. doesn’t fully control its own National Guard and police forces, @MayorBowser was required by law to ask Trump for help controlling the violent mob that he himself instigated. We must immediately pass our bill to fix this, then pass #DCStatehoodNow.

Context: She was offered help from the feds to bolster the police force, she flatly declined that help. Considering how the DOJ has treated Trump, it’s safe to assume they would’ve have done their job. Investigate what happened, but at least be honest. latimes.com/politics/story/2…

Good but lets be honest. It is not only DC. It is high time we offer #DCStatehoodNow #PRStatehoodNow, and better treatment to the US Virgin Islands (pop 100k) and the Marianas & Guam (pop 200k). End this colonial stupidity. New Hampshire (pop 140k) is one.
