When they wrote the constitution slavery was legal, therefore Abolition was considered “unconstitutional.” That’s why as time goes by Americans amend our constitution. DC statehood is not a terrible idea; it’s a good idea.

This is a dumb comparison. The constitution made slavery or its abolition a state’s decision. You didn’t need an Con amendment to abolish slavery within a state. Your argument that “it’s possible, therefore it’s a good idea” is simply embarrassing logic. I expect more from you
