FYI- politicians are NOT enlightened. They dwell in the darkness of power, fear and greed. How can you possibly think that these politicians did not cause what happened? They did. Almost all of them.

Can you expand on your reasoning why? I’ve read conflicting theories about this. Wouldn’t it be a conflict of interest bc if it’s a statehood then congress could be interfered with by the state govt?

Thank you for lending your voice to the 700k+ residents of Washington DC who have no voting representation in Congress. It’s pretty crazy to be a tax paying American citizen who can’t “Call your congressperson!” Anyone who cares about our Democracy should care about #DCStatehood!
