This isn’t just about Trump. It’s also about an unexplainable lack of serious security at the Capitol on a day when anyone would have known that it was at least conceivably more vulnerable. We’ve known about this rally for weeks & its organizers were open about planning to storm.

I don't think the Capitol is lack of security, the security under the police in the US is a filter, some people and go in and out freely, others will risk their lives even trying to break in.

Trump is just a small part. We have a Congress who should have impeached him and instead were bought by corporations not to. Congress is just as much to blame.

As long as I can recall from peaceful demonstrations at DC, the police have always been laid back. Perhaps, since protests take place there so often, the police were taken by surprise this time. Otherwise, there can be no excuse for the lax response.
