This isn’t just about Trump. It’s also about an unexplainable lack of serious security at the Capitol on a day when anyone would have known that it was at least conceivably more vulnerable. We’ve known about this rally for weeks & its organizers were open about planning to storm.

It’s inexcusable. These are ALL our elected representatives from across the country and the VP. The whole function of government could have been compromised. How could we have been so ill prepared?

The entire Capitol Police department apparently just let these rioters and thugs just waltz right in and waltz right out, with hardly any arrests. This police department is totally compromised.

This whole fiasco was planned. Where is the out rage about them carrying zip ties, trucks with Molotov cocktails guns and bombs? What is the cost of the destruction and threats to Congress and Capitol staff?

Cops were in on it. They: escorted them inside; took selfies with them; gently escorted them out; initially denied requests for extra support. It doesn’t take a calculator to add that up. 🤷‍♂️

US has spend trillions and trillions of dollars on defense, security and surveillance since 9/11 yet it cannot protect its capitol from several hundred rioters. It's a joke!
