1/ Large groups of desperate people are a national security risk, whether here or in other corners of the world. They form a petri dish out of which mass societal dysfunction is almost inevitable. This led to the emergence of Hitler in Germany after WW I among other examples.

Not at all. Scapegoating/racism/white supremacy/ are always a part of the authoritarian mindset. Hitler had it out for Jews, Blacks, gay people and gypsies. Just like the skinheads today, there’s this “master race” insanity that is always present there.

Thanks for the history lesson Marianne. Your argument is that the terrorists who stormed the Capitol are "eCoNoMiCaLlY AnXiOuS" and that's how we should frame (excuse) what happened
