Today we faced an unprecedented assault on our Capitol, our Constitution, and our country.   The assault was fueled by more than four years of poison politics spreading deliberate misinformation, sowing distrust in our system, and pitting Americans against one another.

Respectfully, why haven’t you been saying this for the last 4 years? I know there’s a tradition of ex-presidents saying nothing but this was a national emergency, anyone could see it would lead to this, and our former presidents remaining so quiet was a betrayal of the people.

What difference would it have made?

Replying to @kdo88 @BillClinton
If Bush and Clinton and Obama had all been talking, it absolutely might’ve made a difference on the midterms.

Isn't Trump an Adult like the rest of them? Oh I understand, he always acts like a toddler and a delusional narcissist that he is...

Oh please. These crazy trumpers would only think it proves their preconceived notions that the deep state is after Donald Trump. Fanning further the flames of their anger.
They have been. The media is too obsessed with trump. They don’t get much airtime.
And the far right would have labeled it liberal past presidents meddling. Which is why they didn’t say much over the past 4 years. Their words against Trump would have been gas on the fire for those people.

He would have been attack. And it would be called a distraction

Marianne, you are hopefully aware that most former presidents tend to say very little publicly of sitting President. Often that keeps an opposite mob situation from boiling up; a delicate balance. Yet when they say something it is solidifying and completing, like these.
You are full of shit. Do you hold the same accountability for the GOP who enabled Trump the last 4 years??? STFU lady.
