Today we faced an unprecedented assault on our Capitol, our Constitution, and our country.   The assault was fueled by more than four years of poison politics spreading deliberate misinformation, sowing distrust in our system, and pitting Americans against one another.

Replying to @BillClinton
Respectfully, why haven’t you been saying this for the last 4 years? I know there’s a tradition of ex-presidents saying nothing but this was a national emergency, anyone could see it would lead to this, and our former presidents remaining so quiet was a betrayal of the people.

I wouldnt say our former presidents, I mean Obama has been speaking up for quite a while, or does he not count for you?
Do you forget that his wife ran against Trump? That would tingd anything he said.
In all fairness to him, he was an ex president and yes there is protocol on how they relate to those in office. But also his spouse had run against this individual, it could not have been easy for President Clinton to ‘criticise’...
@marwilliamson: why are you posting this pivot? It would be way more powerful at this point if you could just show support.
Why didn’t you pray hard?
George bush is republican so he wont stand against party. Obama has already spoken out MANY TIMES. And Carter isn't in best of shape to be worrying about this . This is our time, our concern.
Respectfully Marianne he has been.
Are you kidding he has been?
