So many Republicans who have aided and abetted him for four years are now calling the natural and inevitable consequence of his insanity an assault on our democracy. As if the branch didn’t emerge from the tree.

They are even saying that the point of not recognizing the electoral count was not to reverse the election, but simply to protest to make sure future elections are free of fraud, implying that this election is fraudulent, and thus people should be in the streets.
