The 2020 campaign finally ended tonight, and in more ways than not the higher aspirations of the American people prevailed. What we will do with this opportunity remains to be seen, but now, at this historic moment, we should pause and give thanks that in fact… love did win.

I have been waiting for this moment since the devastating news that Donald Trump was going to be the President of the United States. I have been in a progressive state of confusion & anxiety. Traumatized by the lack of empathy &common decency that my fellow humans unleashed.

The brutality & disproportionate lash of cruelty through selfish ignorance over the last 5 years has been staggering. I know there are trials ahead but for NOW. I Release. I exhale. I give thanks. I am humbled by the magnitude of possibilities. I can feel the LOVE. I truly can✨

"Love"? I understand that Trump and Republicans are far from "love" as well...but this wasnt exactly a battle of good vs evil. Just two flavors of evil imo. Biden and Dems still represent mass incarceration, increasing military budget and slaughtering millions of innocents, etc.

To quote Ani Difranco: "Because I fight with love, and I laugh with rage." Now, we fight to MAKE the Democrats perform.

Sadly in just the past few years voters are voting on the lesser of two evils ! Under this type of situation are there truly winners ?
