I’m not the biggest Williamson fan, but she’s 100% in this. Austerity is coming because they have to be careful with the deficits the terrible Republicans gave us. Those checks probably won’t be coming either.

The easy way to tell if the Dems are really gonna get things done is whether or not the Dem Senate passes the hundreds of bills that McConnell "blocked." I have my doubts. I think the house spent the last 2 years passing bills for show.

I think if you look at the reality, progressives are in a better position, but Manchin and Tester aren't going to allow anything too far left to happen. This isn't a surprise.

No. Progressives will not be saying that. Not tomorrow and not the next day. Perhaps faux progressives will be saying that, but true progressives know better.
