I think there’s a divide between people who’ve been paying attention to politics since the 90s/early 2000s and people who just started paying attention with Bernie’s run in 2016. The latter prolly feel a larger sense of defeat than the former who actually can see some progress.

I am, but she wouldn’t be the first to misinterpret the tweet, which may partly be my fault. Obviously material conditions for people are getting worse, which is part of the reason why anti-capitalist ideas are growing in influence.

hmm maybe not for you but I think generally it might hold true. holds true for me and I def see a lot more impatience among those who just jumped in in '16
