Every day I get 5+ emails from Dems with a subject line saying the sky is falling in. Would someone please tell whatever messaging genius thinks that’s the way to raise $ that it’s also the best way to depress people, & millions of people seeing such words suppresses possibility?

I donated down-ticket for progressive candidates in the GE. Now, I had to unsubscribe from most of them because of this fear-mongering non-sense. I am over the fear timeline, and want pragmatic, logical, progressivism reflected back from our elected officials

Exactly my feeling! I’ve now had my email removed from any Dem orgs that are raising money that way. Fear does not motivate me to contribute!

Isn’t that their aim?

They'd certainly like everyone to be depressed and not see possibility :)

But the system really is disintegrating though. It's just a very large system with a lot of hands in the cookie jar so it seems like it's happening slowly.

Fear is money baby! Ask MSM who did fear mongering about Trump for the last 4 years.

It's their collective effort to create movement (via panic and fear) WITHOUT having to actually promise/do anything substantial. It's disgusting.

No one ever said politicians (on either side of the aisle) were smart!

Democrats are not selling you a better world because they're not in the business of making the world better.
