This is corporate behavior completely devoid of conscience. It's also why Prop. 22 was a bad idea, and why we need to change from an economic to a humanitarian bottom line. Business should not be - and does not have to be - soulless.

Vons and Albertsons stores in California just laid off every one of their full-time, union delivery drivers, and will replace them with DoorDash gig workers who receive no benefits as a direct result of Prop 22. buff.ly/358CR6Z

I agree it's a sad story but I've been laid off before and instead of playing the victim, I found a new job like an adult.

This isnt injustice. Those companies have no obligation to provide benefits. Sad yes but to pretend its injustice is not being a serious adult. I also understand your big picture point is full blown socialism will remedy these "injustices". This is not the answer.
