This is corporate behavior completely devoid of conscience. It's also why Prop. 22 was a bad idea, and why we need to change from an economic to a humanitarian bottom line. Business should not be - and does not have to be - soulless.
Vons and Albertsons stores in California just laid off every one of their full-time, union delivery drivers, and will replace them with DoorDash gig workers who receive no benefits as a direct result of Prop 22. buff.ly/358CR6Z

Getting Govt out of the way is the solution to all the problems.

Not sure this is best example to highlight given that we just had statewide initiative with more CA voters than would normally show up who favored this new system. Personally I didn’t support 22 but I respect view of majority of voters, especially in a diverse state like CA.

Maybe desperate door dash workers, who are so poor they'll work even without benefits, SHOULD get the jobs first.

Union delivery drivers? It's a job for 19 yr old college kids. Aim higher.

What amazes me is how easily corporate US was able to lie about it and convince Californians this was a good thing. They swallowed like it was a fine wine.
