Progressives can demand a vote for M4A when E&C bring fixes to the ACA. Before support more subsidies for private insurance companies, we should demand a markup on M4A, M4A amendments, & a vote on HR 5010 to support states in setting up single player.

I respect that & admire you. I share your passion for the urgency of M4A. Honest disagreements over tactics should not divide us over the goal. We need a politics of addition to ultimately deliver this for people in my humble opinion.

It’s not just M4A, it’s an entire corporatist direction. It’s obeisance to the military industrial complex. And it’s a realization that if the American people don’t quickly see Dems coming on strong with a real alternative to Trumpism, then they’ll go back to it in ‘22 & 24.

That’s my biggest fear: that Biden will in no way come onto the scene (even with a Dem Senate) with actions that will come close to being sufficient to SHOW THE PEOPLE that democratic leadership will help the people! And then the republicans will SWEEP UP with fascist candidates!
