1/ The reason extreme income inequality is so viscerally repulsive to me is because I’m old enough to remember the time - before 1980 - when it wasn’t this way. It all started with the Reagan tax cuts and Reaganomics in 1980.

They won’t let us do it.
And not one that can be hacked away at piece by piece. There can be no version of a future where enhanced human rights is a harm. We need a durable, irrefutable, clear amendment to our Constitution that elaborates on the rights of all Americans. Then dare them to deny it to us.

Then we need a trade union movement and poor people’s movement that truly scares the rich into believing capitalism may fall. The New Deal was created to stem off such a threat, not out of altruism or moral eventualism
