1/ The reason extreme income inequality is so viscerally repulsive to me is because I’m old enough to remember the time - before 1980 - when it wasn’t this way. It all started with the Reagan tax cuts and Reaganomics in 1980.

It was awesome before Reagan. Almost everybody was poor. There are way less people in poverty worldwide than at an time in the world’s history.

I would say income inequality has always been pretty severe for minorities in America.

The right time but it was because of the bailouts. these companies rip us off and then they fail and we bail them out and so the same people still run them and they use the money we give them to lobby
