1/ The new congressional session begins today. Re-electing Pelosi will say to the country that it’s pretty much going to be business as usual, which to me is very sad. What a lost opportunity to burst out of the gate post-Trump with something new.

2/ New member progressive @MondaireJones on his plan to back Pelosi: “The question is: “Are you going to empower the Republican leader, Kevin McCarthy, to which the answer is no.” Wow, they get to them fast don’t they? A line straight from a PR ad campaign if there ever was one.

Thanks for speaking truth to power, Marianne. I have mad respect for you.

Yes ... I think they are soaking everyone's masks in the "Cool Aid" ... I guess in the end ... it's all about getting on the right Committee ... or ... getting a better office ... Power seems to get its way!
Replying to @briebriejoy
I've watched centrism devour progressive people for 40 years. Union officers join the school board they've fought against bc of working conditions suddenly become strangers. Over and over ideas of universal programs like healthcare and minimum wage get kicked down the road.
Ha ha, just like the presidential elections. We vote for the lesser of two evils and they do the same in congress. Except they are either to dumb to realize Mcarthey couldn't be speaker unless the dems vote for him and they obviously wouldn't do that. The government is sick.
Oh yeah so let’s have them back McCarthy the Seditious Traitor.
oh is he that ... dumb, in the pejorative sense. I cant believe it. If ever becomes smart enough to realize how dumb he is, it could be traumatic.
But is he THAT ignorant?
You clearly don't know how the rules work do you. You are one of those people who ran for President but don't know what the hell or how the hell House rules and shit works. I feel embarrassed that almost voted for you.
Is there a way to elect someone else?
