1/ The new congressional session begins today. Re-electing Pelosi will say to the country that it’s pretty much going to be business as usual, which to me is very sad. What a lost opportunity to burst out of the gate post-Trump with something new.

2/ New member progressive @MondaireJones on his plan to back Pelosi: “The question is: “Are you going to empower the Republican leader, Kevin McCarthy, to which the answer is no.” Wow, they get to them fast don’t they? A line straight from a PR ad campaign if there ever was one.

So you'd rather have Kevin Mccarthy as Speaker of the House? Because it's a binary choice, orb lady! And you keep demonstrating what a joke you are.

The donors paid for a return to normal and they're getting it. It's on all of us to shake the instability in the system to make sure that toxic normal never happens.

American politics has always been business as usual to the Indegenous peoples and Foundational Black Americans. The only thing different now is that European ls are starting to realize that they aren't as important to the system as they though lt they were.

I agree Pelosi needs to be replaced, but there also doesn’t seem to be a viable candidate to fill her shoes. No one has been groomed to fill the role, which is part of the problem with consolidated power, but it’s where we are.
