1/ Tens of millions of people are teetering on the edge today, doing everything they can to keep from plunging into a pit of utter hopelessness and despair. Hopefully the Dems will win Georgia, the Biden administration will sprint out of the gate, and there will be hope for them

2/ But something more than that has to happen for us to fundamentally turn this country around & back away from the cliff entirely. Thousands of people of all ages, gender and color are hopefully feeling a stirring in their hearts right now: “I think I’m going to run for office.”

3/ There needs to be an entirely new wave of political candidate in America at every level: local, state and federal. They need to represent a fundamental pattern disruption of the political and economic status quo. America is ready for them. If you think that’s you, please do it

No. That's the problem. People trying to forcibly control others. No empathy.

I know ... but pace yourself ... don't start to early and burn yourself out ... We need you to be healthy ... and sharp ... with lots of energy for the finish!

That’s my hope too, and I can’t deny that I thought in 2020: ‘well, shit. imma have to run myself to get this cleaned up, arent i?’ Sadly I’d be a terrible candidate with my past, but we need fresh blood that can *win* and that we can rely to always do the *right* thing.

I have mixed views about just anyone running for office. I liked the idea of “inspired amateurism” a la Jesse Ventura, but it hasn’t worked for democracy. Can you imagine Gene Simmons in government?

Honestly, I fear that the system is designed so that people with actually good hearts and ideas are basically barred from ever wielding any significant power.
