It depends on how you define Centrist. I'll take a Centrist Biden administration that was electable and brings in some of the best Technocrats in the nation to work on our problems, and gives the Left a seat at the table - over an unelectable Leftist at the national level.

This is extremely accurate- they will think about the hose and call it progress that they thought about it - they won’t pick up the hose and attempt to put out the fire or call for help

When the moment calls for change, a centrist is a hurdle in the path of progress. That's why they get noticed. Otherwise, they are just very boring people, with no ideas and no commitment.
