Anger is like the white sugar of political activism; it gives you an adrenaline high but then you’ll crash. What we need is nourishment for the long-haul: laughter at the ridiculousness of it all and love for the possibilities that could be.

Sorry, but when we discover that every other industrialized country with a fraction of our GDP has given their people 2k/month since the start of this pandemic with Universal Healthcare & the rent is due "anger" is understandable.

Thank you for the insight, energy and love in 2020. I hope 2021 is even just a smidge more like the world you imagine. I'll do my best. Peace.

I really like @marwilliamson but in this case she is wrong. We need to get angry, really angry.

anger might be the match that starts the fire, but it's not going to amount to much besides a wasted match or a kitchen fire if you let anger run the show.

Marianne, anger can be healthily radicalizing “conversion process” as consciousness-raised people leave the “bubble of self-destructive compliance”promoted by US authoritarian culture enabled by relentlessly intense amoral propaganda corporate media. Let’s call it “tough love”

Anger is like the realization that white collar crime will almost always go unpunished & the @GOP dumpsterfires trying to overthrow the will of the people on behalf of their orange calf won’t be held accountable while their constituents are lowest in education, healthcare...

People being bothered by the anger is like people being bothered by BLM protests more than police brutality. Addressing symptoms rather than disease. If they think the words are bad, let it go unaddressed long enough and see what those words become. #ForceTheVote
