Anger is like the white sugar of political activism; it gives you an adrenaline high but then you’ll crash. What we need is nourishment for the long-haul: laughter at the ridiculousness of it all and love for the possibilities that could be.

It’s hard to laugh when you’re losing everything over many months in a pandemic, on edge of homelessness, immuno-compromised but need work to survive bc your govt won’t help, have to keep emotions stable so your children don’t get damaged from your despair...

anger is a gift. anger is a message to reaffirm what we know in our core: that there is something deeply, fundamentally wrong with all of this & it must stop immediately.
