Anger is like the white sugar of political activism; it gives you an adrenaline high but then you’ll crash. What we need is nourishment for the long-haul: laughter at the ridiculousness of it all and love for the possibilities that could be.

I think our civil rights folks would disagree. And our women's rights folks and LGBTQ+ rights folks etc. What movements need is a persistence of anger without concern about how that anger plays on Ellen or Oprah. You're usually not this tone-deaf.
