And yet we continue to support candidates who do not take it on. We need to hold ourselves responsible for our own complicity in allowing politics to be more like high school drama class or reality TV show than a serious conduit for social change.

Peace Action has had focus on the defense budget for the last 40+ years. Redirect that money toward human needs.
Most people dont get involved until the general election, by then it is too late. It's so heartbreaking support good candidates and watching them get crushed by the DNC in the primaries. We need #RankedChoiceVoting

I think it's just as likely that the monetary interests involved in the military-industrial complex have paid the price to ensure that running against it is political suicide.

I mean yeah. But it should also be clear why the billions of dollars and state sponsored violence backing the status quo makes it a little harder than just "hold ourselves responsible."
