Now even Perdue and Loeffler are supporting the $2000 stimulus because they see it’s what voters want. If the Democratic Party had stood loud and proud for it starting in March, Democrats would easily be controlling both House and Senate today.

No they did not. The HEROES Act included a proposal for a second round of direct payments to Americans – $1,200 for an individual, $2,400 for joint filers, and $1,200 for up to three dependents.

And I’m reminded of a codependent relationship where someone doesn’t show up for us and we stay in denial or keep making excuses for them! It doesn’t serve us and it doesn’t serve them.

Go Marianne!👍 I agree. We can't follow leaders blindly. Do we really believe they have our best interests in mind? Congratulate and reward success and action on our issues but apologizing and making excuses for failure and inaction is rewarding bad behavior.

Sometimes what you call “nuance” is used to obfuscate the bigger picture. And that does not help us; it just maintains the status quo. Until there is a progressive Spesker this will not change.
