Now even Perdue and Loeffler are supporting the $2000 stimulus because they see it’s what voters want. If the Democratic Party had stood loud and proud for it starting in March, Democrats would easily be controlling both House and Senate today.

No they did not. The HEROES Act included a proposal for a second round of direct payments to Americans – $1,200 for an individual, $2,400 for joint filers, and $1,200 for up to three dependents.

So you're saying the difference between the dems easily taking the Senate and keeping the House as opposed to what happened was the proposal of an additional $800 in the stimulus checks that would have died just the same in Mitch's Senate???

Your heart has good instincts. Your political instincts are not great. Dems lost much support last election by ignoring the common person Dems are not some noble warriors fighting the good fight A few bucks here and there isnt going to change their pathologies

Joshua was not talking about the HEROES act. He was talking about the public record of the dems pushing for 2000 payments throughout the year that you're pretending never happened Why is it every time you reply to a tweet, you're answering a claim nobody was making

But that’s my point!! Progressives like Ro Khanna and Tim Ryan were asking for the $2000 a month from the beginning, but those proposals were squashed by leadership. And what the Speaker says is what Americans hear.

And I’m reminded of a codependent relationship where someone doesn’t show up for us and we stay in denial or keep making excuses for them! It doesn’t serve us and it doesn’t serve them.
