Without radical action on climate change, within 7- 10 yrs we could have whole swaths of continents uninhabitable due to heat, major economic collapse & food shortages + 100s of millions of environmental refugees. Covid should cure us of the “Oh that could never happen” syndrome.

Except for half the country is still getting “fake news” and don’t believe in the pandemic. If this year didn’t open people’s eyes to see need for health care reform, investment in the working/middle class, and updated civil rights; I don’t know thata light will shine on climate.

Except half the country are so immune to facts that they believe neither Covid nor anthropogenic climate change are legit. Solution is deeper and harder: teach the populous good epistemics or, better still, to engage with alternate viewpoints rather than confirmation bias
