.@JoeBiden just gave a very strong speech.

We are way beyond speeches from corrupt corporatists Marianne.

So what's the plan? Ignore anything he says?

.@BarackObama gave brilliant speeches too, but... he also drone bombed families, built the cages on the border that Trump put kids in, acquiesced to anything Wall Street wanted... He delivered a bunch of hope with no real change. Speeches matter yes, but actions matter more.

It's true that within a year of his becoming president, I thought "Yada yada yada" almost every time Obama opened his mouth. But this is different. It's the beginning of a very important transition and knowing where Biden's head is at matters. He's talking about important things.

Personnel matters. We see who he's staffing his cabinet/administration with and it's mostly the same type of swamp-like individuals that Trump and previous administrations surrounded themselves with. We know where this is heading. Praising rhetoric is counterproductive

We can't paint all this with one broad stroke. And no one "praised rhetoric." You didn't watch the speech but you're criticizing it.

His speech means nothing. His track record is deplorable. His dishonesty is notorious. You never gave Trump a chance (which was brave & needed). Biden is the same way. He deserves no chance. His assaults are on tape. On tape. Again, on tape. Why doesn't that matter?

I'd be more interested in knowing who wrote the speech and what the motivations are of the people he surrounds himself with.

We've seen this movie before, Marianne and we know how it ends.

Nothing well fundamentally change was his biggest hit.
