We are way beyond speeches from corrupt corporatists Marianne.

So what's the plan? Ignore anything he says?

.@BarackObama gave brilliant speeches too, but... he also drone bombed families, built the cages on the border that Trump put kids in, acquiesced to anything Wall Street wanted... He delivered a bunch of hope with no real change. Speeches matter yes, but actions matter more.

It's true that within a year of his becoming president, I thought "Yada yada yada" almost every time Obama opened his mouth. But this is different. It's the beginning of a very important transition and knowing where Biden's head is at matters. He's talking about important things.

Listen to what he is not saying, though. Is he talking about ending wars? Not that I've heard. Closing at least a few of our scattered military bases? Not a chance. I expect Biden to be no more than a place marker as president. And I don't believe he'll last a full term.

The reason we got 600 instead of 1200, is Joe not wanting to embarrass Mitch.

It will be much more important to follow his actions rather than his words. Otherwise we’ll be as fooled as so many were by Obama; “Mr saying one thing and doing the opposite”.

Please stop getting fooled by pretty speeches, Marianne.

“He’s talking about thing” is of no value when he is making such contrary cabinet picks.

Reading from a teleprompter doesn't mean Biden's head is necessarily involved in the contents of the speech.

Strengthening national security apparatus? Seriously?
I understand that Biden's issue is over disclosure of national security matters, but it would be helpful to know what general information is being withheld. Absent that, it's difficult for the public to call on Trump to co-operate.

Biden’s head changes with whomever is currently talking into it.
