Part of the problem not only for citizens but even for other lawmakers, is the way party leaders (& Mnuchin) negotiated in secret. The entire process should have been transparent and everyone involved should have had to answer to the public for exactly what they were standing for

The Big Problem is that many of the law makers were looking out for themselves. Big raises. $4.4 Million to former presidents. Slush funds posed as "foreign aid" and other pork. Until no money goes out until Americans get theirs first, "lawmakers" are going to skim cash.

I guess the Congress & exec branch & Senate should just never talk to each other and then send bills that will never see the light of day. As bad as the "process" is, something got passed. Are you really this daft. (Yes)

Transparency ... equals ... courage!

Politics as a construct is no longer fit for purpose in 4th industrial revolution. Workarounds and kleptocrats. It is clear majority of those going into Politics [most nations] have no interest in serving the people; power grab and access to a network. #GameOfPolitics #Economics

Tbh, the 'leader' positions need serious reform. They have waaaayyy too much power. I don't remember seeing any of those positions in the constitution. 2 ppl COMPLETELY control the legislative process and have hijacked power within the institution.
