All this talk “But who would replace her” seems ridiculous. If Nancy resigned, I have no doubt people would step up to run for the position.

Feels like the same energy as the "What if the corperations all leave because of taxes" crowd. We don't need this much centralized power. If anything both Nancy and Mitch prove that it's a shit idea to have these head positions at all. Don't replace her. Do something better.

Yes some progressives would step up but not only would they have zero chance at winning they would have a negative chance of winning. We saw what happens when centrist & conservative Democrats think progressives have a chance at winning look at Bernie Sanders.
