All this talk “But who would replace her” seems ridiculous. If Nancy resigned, I have no doubt people would step up to run for the position.

why are we thinking she would resign? wouldn't she just run for speaker same as always? and no progressives are showing willingness to challenge her. she'd only step aside if she felt she was too much of a lightning rod and her heir, Jeffries could win. which would be worse
the problem is it wouldn’t make a difference. it’s not just specifically Pelosi, it’s the system itself and just changing out the faces won’t fundamentally change much of anything

Seems ridiculous? Well, keep saying that over and over and you will get converts.

“Who would replace her” literally someone younger and better

Yes, and they would probably be even further to the right than Pelosi is. This is a bad gamble.

Any Democrat saying this should be ashamed to admit they have nobody fit to replace an 80 year old that is now totally out of step with the lived reality of Americans.

Also assumes she would rather deny a vote on healthcare during a pandemic than keep her job. Think of the sociopath levels needed to make that choice. If she feels that strongly about it, then she needs to be exposed as the monster she is.

@SpeakerPelosi is a legend in her own mind, just like Newt Gingrich. Meanwhile, Denny went off to prison, Boehner became a pothead and Paul Ryan is still pretending he’s not gay.
