the rich are the problem and they want to keep us othering each other individually by identity and cultural differences so we never become truly powerful

Not every rich person is a greedy bastard and not every poor person is noble and pure. Ironically, a system that makes it easier for the rich and harder for the poor is routinely voted into office by those who have very little as much as by those who have a lot.

fortunes are made by exploitation. profits are stolen wages not paid to workers. also the idea that it’s some how poor people’s fault because they voted in a system stacked against them by capital is a just galaxy brain take

I don’t know if every rich person is consciously trying to be but the current system we live under makes it so that that is the case. Either way I appreciate you Marianne as someone who I truly believe is fighting for those that are hurting in ways no other political person is

It’s a system that creates divisions along class lines, whether or not every poor or rich person is good or bad doesn’t factor in to the wider picture.

This comment illustrates the inherent incoherence and impotence of liberal ideology, which is all about figuring out whether individuals are good or bad people instead of having a class analysis. You can’t organize politics around that, but you can use it to chastise those who do
