The worst tragedy isn’t just their denying the $2k one-time stimulus: even that was little more than the thinnest lifeline for so many at this point. In a sane country it would be $2k every month retroactively to when the pandemic started, plus $2k/mo. going forward until it ends

We have to calculate the disruption to our $18 trillion annual personal income total. Some people have had no effect. Others are devastated. There has to be an accessible and equitable mechanism to get money to those in need. We need a minimum of $4.5T targeted now!

I have a feeling there will be no stimulus at all because of the $2k monkey wrench

In the ways the need caring for. It’s not just a simple throw $2000 at each person and all is well. So much deeper. Systemic. It’s too late for this pandemic but people really need to learn about their health. We, as a nation need a health makeover.

I definitely agree with you my dear friend Marianne. Your comments are always accurate. You should be a congresswoman. You show care and compassion to people, and that's what it takes to be a good human being.

It's the only humane thing to do and what all other advanced countries are doing.

Every taxpayer (not just those that made under $75k last year) should get $1k a month. If you’re caught in a public building without a mask or not following social distancing guidelines you should lose the $1k payments People that are laid off should receive a extra $300 a week

We did what our government told us to do so the infection rate would not be overwhelming for care givers. Then, our government is not willing to pay for our service to them. What kind of a responsible country does that to its own people? I have lost all respect for them.

Yes, if the gov't. can give social welfare benefits & bailouts for billionaires & giant corporations, the gov't. can do it for the common man. We spend trillions to make weapons of mass destruction. Let's do this for everyday working people with families to support. Huh?

Not unless they remove the income limits. Its complete bullshit that a person making 75k gets 2k a month and another making 100k (which is not a lot in high cost areas) gets nothing. if this was monthly, the person making 75k could out earn the other after a year.

Problem is, Biden says we want a "hand up" not a "handout" -- which means he's just as ethically challenged as Republicans. In other words, a centrist. Just for the record, I want a handout.
