The worst tragedy isn’t just their denying the $2k one-time stimulus: even that was little more than the thinnest lifeline for so many at this point. In a sane country it would be $2k every month retroactively to when the pandemic started, plus $2k/mo. going forward until it ends

Or better yet, each Governor should have mobilized the National Guard to protect nursing homes and elderly from the start. I was told in March what to do to mitigate. The economy should have stayed open. P.S. Merry Christmas.

That is how I see it.
If financial inequality continues the way it is due to cut throat capitalism, the gap between the rich and the rest of the population will widen. To push back this crisis, next generations will find socialism the only solution. This capitalism would bring about its own demise.

What would be even better, to pass $2 trillion for infrastructure, a new green deal 1 trillion each, i’d rather be working putting solar on peoples roofs, isolation in buildings like schools, fixing bridges and roads, instead of being stuck at home on unemployment,

How would the MIC make profit then? Ammunition loses its potency if its not used.
Hey America, if you stop asking for a #ReliefPackage maybe that $600 the mafia Congress is giving you can all go to Israel to make sure that all of Gaza is without electricity and the war profiteers make maximum profit. After all, ammunition loses its potency if it's not used. 🤷

We need to be reminded so we don’t learn to accept crumbs. Kept “hungry.” Control. The object. We’re in an abusive relationship with our government. If ever curious what an abusive relationship is-you’re in one. This is it. Some fight it/Some accept it. Dangerous slippery slope.

So in your opinion they should have given the $2k each plus all the $$ to foreign countries plus all the $$ to the lobbyist pork projects? Let’s see the stand alone bill

That sane country you speak of Marianne, is Canada($2,000 a month and universal healthcare) Isn’t worrying about a deadly pandemic enough for my fellow Americans?

Yes you’re right. Thank you Republicans for once again sticking it to the American people just to line their own pockets. Hopefully Georgians will vote out the 2 insider traders that are their current senators and we can get back to a beautiful American again!
The political ruling elites have totally ignored the working class. This should be the bill: * $12K to anyone who claimed unemployment in 2020 * $5K/mo to all on unemployment * Food security * Eviction moratorium extended 6 months Instead we got 6000 corporate approved page
