On the day that celebrates the birth of Jesus, in a country that is primarily Christian and with a Congress made up primarily of Christians, our government is guided by principles as far from “Love one another” as it is possible to get.

So true. And what do we do about it? I pray every morning for the hearts of our leaders in local, state, and national levels of government to be open. I know #GodsWillBeDone it’s just a frustrating game of wait and see.

But on the other hand, God tends to tell people to murder their own relatives for the fun of it. Not the best book to follow for advice, I'd say.

If Jesus were a real person, do you think he would have amassed as much wealth as you?

Although I’d argue that the 70% Christian population is similar to Donald Trump claiming he loves the Bible.

'Congress = Christians' is not it. I guess you're a Christian if you say you are, whatever, but nah. Just pandering to evangelicals isn't it. GOP know to thump the Bible a little and call abortion "baby murder" and their voters will fall for it, pretty simple for them.

Marianne, you can’t worry about the hypocrites or the zealots. Jesus loves the poor. “Love one another” would be a great guiding principle for any elected official

They love us and that's why they want us to struggle... It's for our own good! They know best. Can't become dependant on help when we're in need or we'll all get lazy. Merry Christmas @marwilliamson!! Keep the energy coming!
