The current political mindset runs counter to the worldview that will lead us into a more sustainable future. It treats symptoms but doesn’t name cause, ensuring that even when symptoms are dealt with they’ll in time morph into other forms. We need a new political enlightenment.

We need to embrace the future that we want & work back from there. The challenge is that a genuinely sustainable future will fundamentally disrupt the current economic mindset that dominates our policy-making. But any politician who says so is nullified by the current system.

Until people wake up to that nothing will change. The political media industrial complex is extraordinarily adapt at silencing who it wants silenced and people are so easily duped, having been mentally trained to take the mind-deadening drug the media dispenses on a regular basis

We need a new political demonstration of an alternative economy. How about all the rich liberals/progressives pool their wealth and start a community that models the justice we need on a national level? Now that would be helpful.

We need to look at dealing with viruses similarly. What's the cause? For example, we can't be feeding Americans junk food as a business model anymore. Doesn't seem to pay off, except for the purveyors.

You do see that the RNC **and DNC** as well as every one of their corporate funded “candidates” (aka elected lobbyists) are NOT enlightened? Right? I did not vote for Biden. He’s a lobbyist. I did not vote for Trump, he’s a lobbyist.

First you need to get money out of politics Marianne. As long as big money is in politics there will be no level playing field.

Also you need to recognise that neoliberalism isn't just about economics. It's about how we see each other. It's about individualism. It's about greed and it's in the capillaries of society. Neoliberalism is a sickness.

A 21st century American Renaissance. We must admit to our past and our failures and find solutions for a new future. And maybe even review the Constitution to reflect modern day issues.

The Democratic centrists have ZERO intention of addressing the structural problems and trajectory of our current winner-take-all capitalism. They only believe in tinkering with older, decaying social programs. This will turn people towards dropping out or the hard right.

It’s time for our own Yellow Vest Movement! I propose checkered vests as in “living check to check”
