Healing this country will be an arduous process & there are essential factors to it that we can't ignore: Shifting from a dirty economy to clean economy, from a war economy to peace economy, & from an economy rigged in favor of the rich to one that shows justice towards the poor.

You are so right....arduous process. Don't know if it can be achieved after the constant attack on The Trumpster these last 4 years. Worth a try though.

Capitalism has killed more people that any other -ism... Wait... Any other -ism or -ity... quick fix for the Jesus Freaks who think HIS followers actually practice HIS beliefs. Until we address the sickness, we cannot cure the disease.

Inverted totalitarianism (Sheldon Wolin)... we'll not regain economic equality without revolution. There is no other mechanism to do so.

The big question is: what can be done with rightwing outlets that brainwash people and keep them in ignorance?

Healing this nation is much deeper than that. Our moral compass has been compromised in the name of "choice". Until we value EVERY innocent human life, nothing else will heal us. You speak of love and compassion, EXCEPT for the most innocent and vulnerable. Shame on you.

Beautiful words. With respect, when has the U.S. economy ever been one that shows "justice towards the poor"? Healing this country is going to take more than words. It requires nothing less than a fundamental change in the structure of this economy. I don't see that on offer.

You are right, and wrong at the same time. Our country is already broken irreparably. Almost 50 years of neoliberalism supported by the duopoly created the basis for our decline and eventual inevitable collapse. It is just a matter of time for the end of the American experiment.
