The more I read about the contents of the bill, the clearer it is that it is not really a “Covid relief” bill at all. That phrase is simply used as cover for the continuation of a massive power grab by those whose greed caused so much of the problem to begin with.

These people represent the Capitalist Class against the Working Class. Getting rid of them will not change the incentive structure or the system of values that led to their rise to power. This farce will just repeat itself until such time as we have a new social system.

That’s where you and I disagree a bit. There is greed and corruption in socialist societies too, you know. Capitalism and socialism both have their upside and human beings have our downside.

Marianne, I don't think you understand that capitalism always buys off, coopts or pushes out the "good people." We could regulate this stuff today and tomorrow, the owner class would be hitting the ground running to buy off the regulators. Repeat ad nauseum, ad infinitum.
