The more I read about the contents of the bill, the clearer it is that it is not really a “Covid relief” bill at all. That phrase is simply used as cover for the continuation of a massive power grab by those whose greed caused so much of the problem to begin with.

Thank you for pointing this out. The brazenness of our government this year has shaken me to my core. We are being governed by privileged folks who still claim they are being victimized when asked to give an inch of power and/or consider the group’s needs.

You would think covid relief would be enough of an importance to carry its own legislation. It would be like going in for open heart surgery and while in hospital they decided to clean your teeth, dress you with a new Apple Watch and require a new Ford truck purchase.
